Nunam Iqua (Yupik: the end of the tundra) is a city in the Kusilvak Census Area in Alaska, US. It was known as Sheldon Point from 1974 to 1999. It is located at 62°30?58?N 164°53?43?W and is spread across 18.5 square miles. Out of this, 13.2 square miles is land and 5.3 square miles is water. The city lies in the Alaskan Time Zone (AKST/AKDT) and observes daylight saving time. It had derived its former name, Sheldon Point from a resident named Sheldon who had opened a fish saltery here sometime in the 1930s.
