Tsehlanyane National Park
Tsehlanyane National Park is an excellent place to visit for nature lovers.
The park is surrounded by the rock-ribbed peaks of the imposing Maloti
Mountains. Tsehlanyane National Park is well-known for its rare forest
habitats and high altitudes. The park features wildernesses of rare fern
species and chi chi trees, widespread berg bamboo groves, and species of
mountain animals that abounds in all its magnificence here.
Liphofung Nature Reserve
Liphofung Nature Reserve has an imperative place in Lesotho history. It is
the smallest of the Lesotho Highlands Development Authority reserves. The
reserve is in a tributary stream valley of the Hololo River just off the
main road from Butha Buthe to Mokhotlong and Oxbow. Tourists can reach the
reserve by means of a newly built concrete road.
Maseru
Maseru is the capital of Lesotho. The city is slowly being reconstructed
after a period of disturbance in the late 90s. Maseru is now a charismatic
place to spend a vacation. The most remarkable landmark in the city is the
Basotho Hat, which is a gift shop that sells traditional Basotho arts and
crafts. In addition, there is a range of great tailors and international
eateries and bars in the city.
