Santa Cruz
Santa Cruz, also known as Santa Cruz de la Sierra, is the capital city of
Santa Cruz Department in eastern Bolivia. Founded by the Spanish in the 16thcentury, the city is a thriving commercial center today. Also
known as a gateway to an alternative Bolivia, Santa Cruz is perched on the
shore of the Pirai River in the eastern part of the country. The city has a
great architectural legacy and is lined with landmarks and museums, such as
Cathedral Basilica of St. Lawrence, Noel Kempff Mercado Natural History
Museum, Contemporary Art Museum, Plazuela Calleja, and Plaza 24 de
Septiembre. Santa Cruz is a cosmopolitan city with an array of restaurants,

La Paz
Also known as Nuestra Senora de La Paz, La Paz is the capital of La Paz
Department in Bolivia. It is the third most populous city in the country
and is the seat of the government of Bolivia. La Paz is the highest
administrative capital in the world. It is perched in a bowl encircled by
the soaring mountains of the Altiplano. La Paz is famed for its 16th century historical center and panoramic views. Visitors to La
