Georgetown
The capital of Guyana, Georgetown is the largest urban center in the
country. The city is located on the Atlantic Ocean coast at the mouth of
the Damerara River. Georgetown is also dubbed as 'Garden City of the
Caribbean'. The city is replete with tree-lined streets and avenues and the
immaculate Dutch colonial and Victorian architecture. The land of
Georgetown is rich in bauxite, timber, diamonds, and gold. Tourist
attractions in the city include museums, gardens, and much more. Some of

Anthropology, Guyana Zoo, and Guyana National Museum.
Bartica
A beautiful port city located nearby Georgetown, Bartica is surrounded by
enormous Pakaraima Mountain Range. The city plays host to the event of the
Bartica Regatta during the Easter weekend every year. The event features a
variety of entertaining activities like water sports cricket, boxing,
soccer, talent shows, a street parade, and a Miss Bartica Regatta Pageant.
Linden
Linden is a town located on the Demerara River in the northeast Guyana. The
town is excellent for history lovers as it is home to the Linden Museum of
Socio-Cultural Heritage located in a former recreation hall. The museum
boasts display on the local bauxite-mining industry. In the city, there is
a Christianburg Waterwheel that is a reminder of the Linden's sawmilling
operations in the 1800s. Gluck Island, located to the west of Linden near
Rockstone village, is famous for its water lilies and rich birdlife.
