This castle has been renovated several times through the centuries but still retains its basic shape. From its front, tourists can see a pink Baroque palace that dates to the time of Catherine the Great.

Estonian History Museum
Covering the history of Estonia from prehistoric times to the end of the 20th century, Estonian History Museum boasts films and hands-on displays to show how Estonian-dwellers lived, fought, and survived through the years. The museum is located in the 15th century Great Guild Hall. In the cellar rooms of the museum, exhibit known as 'Power of the Elite' displays the history of the building. Among the other exhibits are 'Making a Fast Buck' displayed in the coin chamber and focusing on the several ways of payment seen in Estonia all through history.

Displaying Estonian artwork from the 18th to 21st century, KUMU Art Museum is by far the largest and most cutting-edge museum in the country. It is a must-see museum for culture buffs. The main building of the museum serves as both the national gallery and a center for modern art.
