The city of Mora is situated in Dalarna County, Sweden in between the northern and southern shore of Siljan and Orsasjon Lakes respectively. It is assumed that people have been residing in the region since 4000 BC. The oldest buildings of the area dates back to the 7th century. Zorn Museum
The Zorn Museum houses the world's most expansive and vast collection of work by Anders Zorn. The permanent exhibition of the museum is all decked up with various designs in watercolors, oil paintings, and sculptures. In the building is a room which has been dedicated to the silverware collection which once were part of Zorn House and various awards won by Anders and Emma Zorn.
Dala Horses
The city is quite famous for the production of Dala Horses, Swedish souvenir. At a distance of around 10 kilometers is Nusnas, here are two largest workshops where one can see the amazing process of carving and painting of the Dala Horses. You can purchase these beautifully crafted wooden horses in any of the souvenir outlets.
The Vasaloppet Museum
The Vasaloppet Museum was built in the year 1994 in the premises of the Vasaloppet's House in central Mora. In the year 2013, the museum was renovated at a large scale. Here visitors can learn about the vast history of Vasaloppet. Through the exhibits in the building explore the journey of a cross-country race to an arena for exercise and public health.
