Gregg County Historical Museum
Located in a wonderful Classical Revival architecture of the historic Everett Building, Gregg County Historical Museum features an assortment of displays and exhibits. The major exhibits in the museum include a Caddo collection, military collection, architecture collection, and the Flo Research Center. Gregg County Historical Museum also hosts a number of special events.
Longview Museum of Fine Arts
An apt spot to visit for art lovers, Longview Museum of Fine Arts features permanent collection of more than 400 pieces of art work including intaglio, drawings, photographs, paintings, pottery, work-on-papers, lithographs, sculpture, serigraphs, and woodblock. The collection in the museum divided into six sub-collections.
Tyler State Park
Located at a distance of around 36 miles from Longview, Tyler State Park is spread in around 985 acres and also includes a 64-acre lake. Wild species in the park include deer, opossums, raccoons, squirrels, and several species of avifauna. Visitors can enjoy activities like boating, fishing, mountain biking, hiking, nature study, and lake swimming.
