Shark Island
A large pontoon, Shark Island is located several minutes east from the shores of the Serangan Island. It is a private endeavor set out by a Honolulu surfer, Paul Friese, who decided to embark on a mission to save white tip and black-tip reef sharks. The site currently boasts over a dozen pups, and a number of releases have been done in the open seas. The sharks are well-fed and swimming with these sharks is quite safe for all ages.
Turtle Conservation and Education Center
Located in south Denpasar, Turtle Conservation and Education Center serves as a sanctuary, hatchery, and nursery for sea turtles accidently caught by fishermen in the near waters and around the Serangan Island. This shelter boasts a number of pools where turtles are kept according to their size, age, species, and are supervised by a team providing information about them.
Bali Provincial Public Museum
Locally known as ' Museum Negeri Propinsi Bali, Bali Provincial Public Museum is located right next to the mayor's office and the Puputan Badung Civic Square. The museum is the oldest on Bali Island and boasts more than 10,000 exhibits. In the museum, there are three separate pavilions named after Bali's regencies: Buleleng, Karangasem, and Tabanan. Each of these pavilions houses a collection of art and ethnography, ceramics, ancient inscriptions, porcelain statues, agricultural tools, wayang kulit (shadow puppets), weapons, paintings, ritual tools, and more.
Jagatnatha Temple
A central landmark adjoining Bali Provincial Museum and the city square, Jagatnatha Temple is a historical site that underwent a series of renovations over times and now boasts a towering central Padmasana shrine. Inside the temple walls, tourists can still see the relics of the older days such as stone motifs and carvings depicting episodes from Ramayana.
