Hunan Provincial Museum:
Located in Kaifu District of Changsha city, Hunan Provincial Museum boasts abundant collections featuring the cultural relics excavated from the renowned Mawangdui Tombs of Han Dynasty, cultural relics of Chu Dynasty, the bronze wares of the Zhou and the Shang dynasties, modern cultural relics, calligraphy works and paintings, and pottery and porcelain works from various dynasties. This museum is the largest historical and artistic museum in Hunan Province.

Yuelu Hill Park:
Located on Mount Yuelu in the western suburbs of the city, Yuelu Hill Park is a fairly pleasant walk and a great spot to get away from the crowds. Covering an area of around 500 hectares, the park is one of the most historic spots in Changsha.

Mawangdui Han Tombs:
One of the most exciting spots in Hunan Province, Mawangdui Han Tombs is located in the eastern suburbs of the city. There are three tombs at the site. These three tombs were excavated between 1972 and 1974. From the tombs, more than 3,000 relics have been unearthed. These relics include silk products, silk paintings, herbs, bamboo slips, weapons, potteries, and lacquer works.
