Located close downtown area, Gulangyu Island is dotted with many scenic sites, religious spots, pianos and a contrasting collection of Chinese and Western styled buildings. Charming reefs seem perfect for snorkeling and diving. Beyond reefs attractions like the Sunlight Rock and Shuzhuang Garden are very famous in the city and enjoy a lot of visitors.
One of Xiamen’s most fascinating attractions Jimei District boasts some of city’s top hot spots like the Returnees, Turtle Garden and Mr. Tan Kah-Kee's former residence. The architectural design of the Jimei University is also hard to give a miss. Along the waterfront areas gorgeous promenades attract a lot of walkers and strollers.
Lying in south-eastern part of Xiamen, Siming District is bounded by breathtaking beaches and few natural attractions. The area is also the hotbed of economic and trading activities in the city. Here you will find a lot of upscale shopping stores and outlets of many renowned International chains.
