Freedom Trail
The Freedom Trail encompasses 16 major historic sites and monuments of the
Boston. You can pick up brochures from the Visitor Center and follow the
designated trail. You wil walk past the State House, Old Granary Burying
Ground, King’s Chapel Burying Ground, Old South Meeting House, and the most
significant, Old State House which was the site of the Boston Massacre. The
trail continues through North End and ends across the bridge in Charlestown
at the Bunker Hill Monument.
Beacon Hill
Located right in the heart of Boston, Beacon Hill is among the most
aesthetically pleasing neighbourhoods of the city. Historically, it has
been an upscale neighbourhood full of wealthy families and beautiful Greek
and Federal Revival Style brick-homes. The north side is home to Boston’s
African-American community and the Black Heritage Trail includes 15
pre-Civil War houses, churches, schools which present a picture of the 19 th century living conditions of the Afro-American community.
Museum of Fine Arts Boston
Boston Museum of Fine Arts is among the leading art museums in the US. The
museum has an elaborate collection of ancient Egyptian treasures,
Impressionist paintings, Persian and Asian fine arts, artefacts and works
from Middle East and Ancient Greece. A complete wing is dedicated to
American art and artefacts displayed in a chronological order. The
collection includes decorative arts, paintings, folk art, furniture,
glassware, silver and design from the pre-Columbian arts to the Modernist
periods.
Best Time to Visit Boston
The best time to book Boston flights is during fall season, between June
& October when the weather is pleasant. The Boston Book Fair, Pride
Parade and Boston Harborfest all take place during this period. It is
advised to book PAP to BOS flights in advance to avoid paying more at the
last minute.
