the Dominican Republic and the fourth-largest city in the Caribbean. This
city is the capital of the Santiago Province and a major metropolis in the

The dictator had at first ordered to build it in his honor but after his
death, it was devoted to the nation.
St. James the Apostle Cathedral
St. James the Apostle Cathedral is one of the most prominent cathedrals in
Santiago. This late 19th century cathedral is devoted to St.
James the Greater, the disciple of Jesus and the son of Shebedeus and of
Salome.
