Blantyre
The center of finance and commerce of Malawi, Blantyre is the second
largest city in the country. The city is sometimes referred to as the
commercial capital of Malawi. Blantyre is surrounded by Ndirande Mountain,
Mount Soche, Michiru Mountain, and Chiradzulu Mountain. In addition to
visiting various tourist attractions in the city, travelers can also
explore some naturally beautiful areas located in proximity to the city.

Lilongwe
Lilongwe is the capital city of Malawi. The city sits on the bank of the
Lilongwe River. In the heart of the city, woodland trails meander through
the Lilongwe Wildlife Centre that is home to rescued and injured animals,
including monkeys, crocodiles, and lions. Several shops, restaurants, and
bars are scattered through the Old Town District. Located close to the
Parliament Building is the marble-and-granite Kamuzu Banda Mausoleum,
dedicated to the first president of the country. In the southeast of the
city is the Chongoni Rock Art Area, famed among tourists for its Stone Age
rock paintings.
Zomba
Zomba is a city located in southern Malawi. The city was the country’s
capital until 1975. Zomba has rich British colonial past evident in its
architecture. While here, nature lovers must not miss out on visiting the
National Herbarium and Botanic Gardens that is home to rare and medicinal
plants. The city is nestled at the foot of the Zomba Plateau boasting
waterfalls, forest trails, and sweeping views over the surrounding plains.
