Mather Walls House
Mather Walls House was built by John Mather in the year 1889. Mather was a
native of Scotland who migrated to Canada in 1857. The house has been
constructed in Queen Anne architectural style. At present, the Ontario
Heritage Foundation preserves the house & the Lake of the Woods
Historical Society operates it. In between May to September, tours are
offered for the house.
Mink Bay Trail
Mink Bay Trail is a part of the Mink Bay Wetland. It is a beautiful area
located towards the western end of the Kenora city. Mink Trail runs through
the wetlands & wilderness of the Mink & the Portage Bay, the green
spaces, & the downtown Keewatin, the nearby town.
Lake of the Woods Museum
Established in the year 1964, Lake of the Woods Museum is one of the finest
museums in Canada. The museum aims to promote understanding & respect
for the culture & heritage of the area. It also lays focus on engaging
