National Pantheon
The National Pantheon is situated in the northern Caracas, Venezuela. The site is divided into different zones. For example, the altar is dedicated to the sarcophagus of Simon Bolivar and the central nave has been dedicated to him too. Within the building reside the statues of Antonio Jose de Sucre and Francisco de Miranda at either sides of the main recess. Museum of Contemporary Art (MAC)
The Museum of Contemporary Art was set up on 30 August, 1973 by Simon Bolivar Center. Housed here are two sculptures by the Venezuelan maestro Jesus Soto and a collection from several well known artists such as Michelangelo Pistoletto, Adami, Richard Smith, Pavlos, Marisol Escobar, Emilio Tadini, Giangiacomo Spadari, and more. The MAC collection is one of the most significant modern art in Latin America, representing all plastic modalities, including masterpieces such as Joan Miro's Ski Lesson , Pablo Picasso's Dora Maar Portrait and El Carnaval nocturnoby Marc Chagall; also has emblematic works by Venezuelan and foreign artists. The MAC was the first Venezuelan museum to offer a library service specialized in art, a formal plastic training space for children and adults, a special education department for the blind and a multimedia center for the arts.
La Casa Natal de Simon Bolivar
It is the birthplace of the Liberator Simon Bolivar, and is located in the Cathedral Parish of Caracas.
