Pittsburgh International Airport to offer Via Airlines flights to Memphis, Birmingham, and Hartford!

Via Airlines announces to offer direct flights from Pittsburgh International Airport to Birmingham in Alabama, Hartford in Connecticut, and Memphis in Tennessee. Flight to Memphis will also offer one-stop service to Austin, Texas. Flights from Pittsburgh International Airport to Birmingham will commence from 04 April 2019 while the flights to Memphis/Austin and Hartford will begin from 24 June and 23 July respectively.

Known as the joint civil-military international airport, Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT) is one of the best airports of the region. Situated in the Pittsburgh suburb of Findlay Township that is approximately 20 miles (30 km) west of downtown Pittsburgh at Exit 53 of I-376 and the Northern Terminus of PA Turnpike 576 (Future I-576), this airport is fully equipped with latest facilities and amenities. Owned by Allegheny County and operated by the Allegheny County Airport Authority which also operates the Allegheny County Airport, this passenger airport serves the Pittsburgh metropolitan area.

There are good amount of public transportation available from this airport. Here you will get bus service from Downtown Pittsburgh and the city’s University District (Oakland) via the Port Authority of Allegheny County's 28X Route.
The Mountain Line Transit’s Grey Line also offers its services to the areas south of Pittsburgh including Waynesburg, Pennsylvania; Morgantown, Fairmont, and Clarksburg, West Virginia. BCTA Transit formerly served locations north and westbound from the airport.
