Gemini Giant
The Gemini Giant is a landmark statue at the Eastern entrance to Wilmington. Standing outside a restaurant, the 30 foot tall statue is one of many giant ‘Muffler Man’ advertising props that were once immensely popular as advertising signs in America. Named after the Gemini space program, the Gemini Giant is depicted as a tall structure which is wearing an astronaut's space helmet and a silver spaceship in his hands.
Eagle Hotel
Eagle Hotel is a 19th century hotel built in Greek revival style in Wilmington. In its heydays, the Eagle Hotel used to flourish as the only place of rest to the farmers who used to come here to sell their wheat and corn. It is now turned into a public museum known as the Wilmington Area Historical Society Museum that hosts American Civil War relics.
