Nearby the lake are the hiking trails, the Salida Gulch trailhead, gold-panning area, and the Lynx Creek Ruin archaeological site.
Sharlot Hall Museum
Founded in 1928 by Sharlot Hall, who was a frontier poet and appointed territorial historian, Sharlot Hall Museum is located in original Governor's Mansion! The museum includes exhibits on mining, firefighting, and ranching at the time of territorial days. Sharlot Hall Museum also boasts exhibits on the cultural history of the Yavapai Prescott Indian Tribe.
