The city of Mus lies in the eastern part of Turkey. This region is full of scenic beauty as it is located amidst mountains, lakes, and lush green plains. Arakelots Monastery
Arakelots Monastery is located in the Taron province around 11 kilometers away from the city of Mus. It is an Armenian monastery constructed during the 11th century by Gregory the Illuminator. This monastery turned out to be a major center for learning. Although he structure was destroyed, one can still see the ruins there.
Hacli Lake
Hacli Lake is a sweet water lake situated in the Bulanik District of Mus. In its muddy water you will find several fresh water fishes like carp. Numerous rare species of birds can also be seen here such as kasikci, boz ordek, kucuk karabatak, gulen sumru, and more.
Surp Marineh Church
One of the eight churches in the Armenia region was Surp Marineh Church. Throughout Tarawan it was the most remarkable structure and was known as "Katoghike" (Cathedral). Said to be constructed near 6th century today only ruins of outer wall are visible.
