Pierides Archaeological Foundation Museum
Set in a restored mansion that belongs to 18th century, Pierides Archaeological Foundation Museum is a spectacular museum that is a home to a notable private exhibition of Cypriot antiquities. This museum boasts some 2500 exhibits arraying from the Neolithic to the medieval era. In the museum, there are four rooms where these exhibits are put on display.
Hala Sultan Tekke
Tranquil and beautiful mosque perched at a distance of 3 kilometers west of central Larnaca, Hala Sultan Tekke is located on the western side of Larnaca's Salt Lake. Honoring the Prophet Muhammad's wet-nurse- Umm Haram, this consecrated mosque is a prominent pilgrimage site for Muslims. This mosque was constructed by the Ottomans in the year 1816.
Archeological Museum of Larnaca
Home to an arrayed collection of items from all over the surrounding areas dating back from Neolithic Era to the Roman Era, Archeological Museum of Larnaca is an excellent place to visit for history freaks. The first room in the museum puts on exhibition the sculptures prominently terracotta figures and female torsos. The adjoining room is a home to pottery collection found from the excavations at Livadia and Kition.
Stavrovouni Monastery
Sitting in magnificent isolation offering panoramic views across the surrounding countryside, Stavrovouni Monastery is located in the west of Larnaca atop a jagged cliff top. This mountain area was founded by Empress Helena, the mother of the Emperor Constantine, in 327 AD. The current building is the renovated one and dates back to 19th century. Females are not allowed in the actual monastery though they can view the grounds. One has to bring his own transport is required to get here.
