Cheap Hong Kong Vacation Packages

Hong Kong is a Special Administrative Region (SAR) of the People's Republic of China. Nicknamed the ‘Pearl of the Orient’ and ‘Asia’s World City’, Hong Kong is an extremely significant global financial center and a prominent tourist destination. The city has a unique landscape- its face is that of a harbor, and it has mountains, islands and ample skyscrapers. Hong Kong has immense historical significance and part of it is due to its violent past during the Second World War. Today, a visitor can see some glorious parts of the city’s history in the form of cathedrals, temples, ferries and some old buildings.

Places of Interest in Hong Kong
Star Ferry
Star Ferry (estd. 1888 AD) is the one of the oldest chapters of the city’s identity. It is a passenger ferry service operator and a prominent tourist attraction in Hong Kong. Its principal routes carry passengers across Victoria Harbour and between Hong Kong Island and Kowloon. It was rated number one in the ‘Top 10 Most Exciting Ferry Rides’ poll by the Society of American Travel Writers in February 2009. The visitors get an enthralling view of the city from the Victoria Harbor and it is dominated by a contrasting landscape of man-made skyscrapers and god’s mountains.

Hong Kong Disneyland Resort
Hong Kong Disneyland Resort is on Lantau Island, about 12 km east of Hong Kong International Airport. The resort has a Disneyland Park, some resort hotels and a recreation centre. Though significantly smaller in size compared to other Disneyland parks elsewhere, the Hong Kong Disneyland Resort offers some stellar attractions like Toy Story Land and Grizzly Gulch. Besides, it is cheaper than all other Disneyland parks located elsewhere in the world and the waiting time is quite less for most parts of the year, except during festivals and Chinese New Year.

Victoria Peak
Victoria Peak or Mount Austin is a mountain in the western part of Hong Kong Island. With an elevation of 552 m, it attracts seven million visitors every year because it offers spectacular views of the city and its waterfront. The viewing deck also has few coin-operated telescopes that the visitors can use to enjoy the cityscape. You can also take the tram to get an enthralling view of the island from the top, especially during evenings.
