This is also a historical place because it is the site of the oldest fortifications in the city that date back to twelfth century.
Rosenberg Castle
Rosenborg Castle is a historical castle located in Copenhagen, Denmark. It was originally built as an extension to Danish king Christian IV’s ambitious architectural project. It was built in the Dutch Renaissance style and has been expanded several times since 1606 AD before evolving into its present condition in the year 1624 AD. Visitors like to pursue its history from its basement wherein the older Danish crown jewels and other royal paraphernalia is kept. Going upwards, you would find a reception hall called the Marble Room and the Knights' Hall with the Coronation Throne. Another impossible to miss eye candies here are the Rosenborg Tapestries and some assorted porcelain designs on the walls.
Den lille Havfrue (The Little Mermaid)
The Little Mermaid is the protagonist of the most famous Danish love story ever and the emblem of the Danish Capital. Conceptually realized in 1913 AD, the Little Mermaid is a bronze statue by Edvard Eriksen which is displayed on a rock by the waterside at the Langelinie promenade in Copenhagen. It is a constant source of bewilderment and admiration of thousands of visitors from across the world every year and you wouldn’t prefer leaving the national capital without taking a glimpse of it.
