Aurillac, a French commune and the capital of the Cantal Department, lies in the former administrative region of the South-Central France. The city is situated at the bottom of the Cantal Mountains on the banks of the Jordanne River. The climate of the city is oceanic having cool and snow filled winters, and hot summers.
