The Peninsula of Magdalena is ideal for a leisurely walk and picnicking. The peninsula is laurelled by the magnificent Palacio de la Magdalena which was built in early 20th century as a gift for Santander to the royal family. Kids will love the headland featuring small rain rides and sea lions.

El Sardinero is a premier neighborhood in Santander featuring not one but four scenic beaches known as Camello, Concha, Primera and Segunda. Enjoy sunbathing take a dip in the Cantabrian Sea or see breathtaking views of the coast. Apart from beaches you can also visit Piquio Gardens and Mesones Park.

The area lying close to Somorrostro Hill features some of the most famous structures of the city including Dificio del Banco de Espana, Correos, Banco Santander, Plaza Porticada, Church of the Annunciation) and the City Hall. After seeing buildings, you can relax at the Pereda Gardens.
