Placed in the center of Samos, Samion Agoniston is a famous area which is dominated by the Samos Archaeological Museum. The museum features all major excavations in the region and the nation at large. Hotels like the Ino Village make you feel home away from home. Gagkou Beach is not far from Samion Agoniston.

The neighborhood of Kokkari is known for its UNESCO world heritage site listed Heraion of Samos which features ruins of the massive Late Archaic Heraion of Samos temples. Apart from ruins, Pythagoreion also attracts a lot of visitors. Hotels like the Arion Hotel are excellent for lodging purpose.
