Neighborhoods to Book a Hotel in Chios

The sea-front area of the Karfas is located in the southern part of Chios. The area is home to the city’s most famous Karfas Beach. The shallow and warm water of the beach are ideal for families with kids. A wealth of gourmet restaurants, pulsating nightclubs and bars as well as quality affordable hotels like the Mavrokordatiko Hotel, the Erytha Hotel and the Golden Sand Hotel line the beach.

Kontari is a bustling area that lies in the southern part of Chios and very close to the city’s airport. The area is known for its thick sanded beaches blessed with turquoise water. In the waters you can also collect small colorful pebbles. People interested in seeing big sea waves must come here.

The neighborhood of Kambos houses some of Chios’ best structures. Check out the neoclassical architecture design of the Tetteriko while the completely revamped Perivoli looks superb. Don’t miss the Mitarakiko, home of the famous Greek artist G. Mitarakis.
