When it comes to pizza, Philadelphia is often overshadowed by destinations like New York City, Chicago, and even New Haven, Connecticut.
However, the City of Brotherly Love is about to get a leg up on the crusted culinary competition by opening the world’s first pizza museum in one of its up-and-coming neighborhoods.
Opening later this Spring, Pizza Brain in Fishtown will feature the enormous pizza memorabilia collection of Guinness World Record-holder Brian Dwyer.
Dwyer, who received recognition from Guinness for his collection last summer, had originally planned to display his memorabilia inside of a pizzeria before a friend suggested opening the one-of-a-kind museum.
There will be no starving artists here, however. The museum will serve up a special pie of its own, according to a report in the Huffington Post.
