On a warm summer night, boats gather in Biscayne Bay to enjoy an evening fireworks show.
35 miles long and up to 8 miles wide, the lagoon is part of Biscayne National Park and separates Miami Beach on a barrier island from mainland Miami.
The waterway is popular among recreational boaters for its calm waters and spectacular views. It is home to a large number of marine species, including bottlenose dolphins and Florida manatees.
