The perennially popular Taste of London restaurant festival marks its tenth anniversary this summer with its biggest and best line up to date. The event will be jam packed with world class restaurants, celebrity chefs and lots more foodie fun and activities. The festival takes place from Thursday the 20th to Sunday the 23rd of June in London’s Regent’s Park. The theme of Taste of London 2013 is one of “collaboration and reunion” that is to be realized with UK and international chef talent coming together to celebrate a decade’s worth of “culinary magic from the food capital of the world.”
Taste of London 2013 will present a series of culinary exclusives including three generations of the Roux dynasty – Albert Roux, Michel Roux Jr and Emily Roux – cooking together. Says Michel Roux Jr of his participation, “Taste is a London institution and I am so proud to have been involved every year from the very start. It has grown into the best restaurant festival in the world.” The delicious list of other gourmet heroes collaborating and cooking alongside each other during the festival features top local talents such as Raymond Blanc, Alfred Prasad, Ben Tish, Pascal Aussignac, Francesco Mazzei and Bruno Loubet.
Keeping current with the tastiest trends of the London dining scene, some of this city’s hottest new restaurants are to exhibit this year. Among the many first time exhibitors are the stylish Sushisamba, the trend setting Duck & Waffle, the Peruvian sensation LIMA and fish specialist The Angler. Of course, tried and true favourites such as Le Gavroche, Gauthier Soho, Opera Tavern and Tamarind are going to return.
50,000 visitors are expected to dine from dozens of London’s top restaurants, serving a mix of British, French, Pan Asian, Japanese Fusion, South American and Italian cuisine, shop from 200 boutique food and drink stalls, enjoy fine wine tasting and watch some of the world’s finest chefs demonstrate their skills.
