The Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Tampa, Florida is currently undergoing a $75 million expansion that will make it one of the largest casinos in the United States when all is said and done.
The property, which is owned by the Seminole Tribe of Florida, will see its casino floor expand by more than 220,000 square feet while adding 750 slot machines and a dozen table games by April 2012.
To make room for all the extra gamblers, the Hard Rock will add 1,350 more parking spaces, marking a 25% increase over current capacity.
The massive expansion will make the Hard Rock the third largest Indian casino in the country, behind only the Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods casinos in Connecticut.
The project is just part of a broader $800 million reinvestment, according to the Seminole tribe. Plans to add another hotel tower on the property are currently in the works.
