Officials at New York City airports plan to resume normal operations at 4p.m. following a blizzard Sunday that left thousands of travelers stranded and city residents digging out from nearly two feet of snow.
While both JFK and LaGuardia Airports will re-open late this afternoon, officials are warning travelers to check with airlines before departing for the airport.
Thousands of travelers were stranded at Kennedy Airport Sunday night when deteriorating conditions canceled all flights and forced the suspension of shuttle bus and AirTran service.
