Friday marks the launch of the 15th Annual International Fringe Festival in New York City. The 16-day festival celebrates theater, dance, performance, art, improvisation, and multimedia.
200 theater companies from around the world will put on 192 performances spread over 19 venues in Lower Manhattan during the festival’s run.
Now through August 28, fringe performances will take place from 2 PM to midnight during the week and from noon to midnight on the weekends.
Tickets to each performance are $15 in advance and $18 at the door. Passes are also available for visitors who wish to take in multiple performances.
