Visiting London from the States and keen to smoke a Cuban? It’s legal here! And with more and more terraces and lounges opening up, if you’re in the know, you can smoke that stogie in style. But if the task of finding just the right place to light up seems a bit too daunting, guess what? There’s an app for that. Indeed, for anyone keen to discover the rich history and current trends of the London cigar scene, the London Cigar Guide app is a must.

This newly released app offers cigar lovers, from newbies to connoisseurs, tons of great recommendations and tips to make the most of a cigar smoker’s London. There’s an audio tour, up to date listings of events, an extremely handy map of cigar shops and smoking lounges, plenty of fascinating Winston Churchill related locations to visit and lots, lots more.

The London Cigar Guide app builds on the success of the Cuban Cigar Walk London, an audio guide created for touring the historic and character rich cigar stores in London’s upscale quarters of Mayfair and St James. Indeed, the app and the original tour are the creation of the same man, Nic Wing. Nic is arguably the most knowledgeable man in Britain when it comes to all things cigar. He is without a doubt the UK’s most enthusiastic cigar aficionado. This audio guide is actually included as part of the app, making it easy to dip in and out of the stores at your own pace.

The reasonably priced app is worth uploading for the included map alone. Locations are conveniently organised into four groups and are indicated on the map with different coloured pins: green for cigar stores; blue for lounges and smoking terraces; orange for other points of interest such as restaurants, pubs and historic sites; and red for the audio guide and walk.

London Cigar Guide is to be updated frequently and supported on Facebook and Twitter with up to date information on events to help visitors plan their trip to London. The App is regularly updated with details of new openings to ensure it never goes out of date.
