Las Vegas Business Owner Creates Adult Sandbox with Old Construction Equipment

In recent years, the struggling economy in Las Vegas has halted dozens of proposed Sin City construction projects.

Thanks to one entrepreneurial business owner, however, not all of Vegas’ building equipment lay dormant.

Ed Mumm has created Dig This, an adult sandbox complete with heavy-duty construction equipment that paying adults can use to push dirt around and work off some frustration.

Customers pay up to $750 to use Mumm’s excavators and bulldozers to their liking for hours on end. All it takes is a 10-minute instructional class and some added radio guidance from supervising professionals.

On any given day, thrill-seeking adults can be seen using heavy duty equipment to dig trenches, flip monster truck tires, or scoop up basketballs. The life-sized sandbox is located just off the Las Vegas Strip where remnants of some of the city’s abandoned projects can still be seen.
