If someone wanted to set the record for the world’s largest margarita, they would be hard-pressed to find a better venue to do so than at a Jimmy Buffet-themed casino in Las Vegas.
That’s just what officials at the brand new Margaritaville Casino inside Sin City’s Flamingo Resort were thinking when they announced an ambitious world record attempt this week.
Casino officials look to create the world's largest margarita next Saturday, October 15 and serve it up to a sea of rowdy parrotheads.
Currently the record for the largest margarita belongs to Ricardo's of Las Vegas Mexican restaurant, which last year shook up 7,500 gallons of the sweet stuff, using more than 6,000 bottles of tequila and triple sec in the process.
Though plenty of Parrotheads will be on hand (in their finest worn-out flip flops no doubt), there is no word yet on whether Mr. Buffett will make an appearance.
