JetBlue ended 2010 with a profitable fourth quarter. The New York-based airline recorded pre-tax income of $15 million for the year’s final period.
For the entire year, the carrier reported $161 million in pre-tax income.
That compares to $104 million in the previous year.
The airline’s net income of $97 million compares positively to 2009’s $61 million. 2010’s income works out to about 31 cents per diluted share.
It’s estimated that the growing airline now has about $1 billion in unrestricted cash and other short term investments.
