I have a lot of hometown pride for Minneapolis.
Home to numerous world-class theaters and museums, lakes and parks, the state-of-the-art Target Field, and various international businesses, Minneapolis is a great place to live.
One of my favorite parts about the city is the thriving foodie scene.
Here are five restaurants you should definitely try the next time you are in my lovely city.
These Minneapolis favorites serve great cuisine at moderate prices.
Blackbird Café: Blackbird offers casual fare with a twist, paired with a
sophisticated
wine list. Save room for their homemade desserts. (3800 Nicollet Ave, Minneapolis (612) 823-4790)
Sapor Café and Bar: Sapor serves an ever-changing smattering of international
upscale dishes
and offers cocktails, wine and beer from a full bar. (428 Washington Avenue North, Minneapolis (612) 375-1971)
HauteDish: HauteDish serves comfort food for foodies— reinvented
Midwestern or
“diner” favorites like their “Steak and Eggs” comprised of steak
tartare, egg in a hole and a bloody mary oyster shooter. (119 Washington Ave. N., Minneapolis (612) 338-8484)
Victory 44: A great place for foodies to meet up for a casual meal
with friends,
Victory 44 serves innovative fare based on classic favorites. Their
reuben sandwich is to die for.(2203 North 44th Avenue, Minneapolis (612) 588-2228)
Bar La Grassa: There has been a lot of hype over Bar La Grassa recently,
and for good reason. The innovative Italian fare, excellent wine
selection and warm, pared down interior make for a winning combination. (800 North Washington Avenue, Minneapolis (612) 333-3837)
