Five Reasons to Head to Las Vegas’ Bellagio Before July

This blog post was updated on October 10, 2018.

Las Vegas is a foodie haven, no doubt about it. There are the Michelin-ranked restaurants. The AAA Five Diamond recipients. The celebrity chefs.

And now, Bellagio, the luxurious resort on The Strip (and recipient of 11 consecutive AAA Five Diamond Awards) just announced its 2012 schedule for the Epicurean Epicenter Series – also known as a food-lovers paradise.

The special culinary series highlights the sensational talents of Bellagio’s chefs, including Julian Serrano, Edmund Wong and Royden Ellamar, and will also highlight culinary creations paired with world-class wineries.

The hotel, which recently released some of the Epicurean Epicenter Series events are ripe with amazing opportunities for visitors to Las Vegas to experience spectacular food and wine.

For visitors on cheap flights to Las Vegas, these are five dates you should plan your visit around:

Saturday, Feb. 11
Pinot Noir with Sensi’s Royden Ellamar. This event is hosted by Jason Smith, Master Sommelier and Director of Wine, and will feature sustainable cuisine prepared by Ellamar, along with wine pairings from Pisoni Vineyards and ROAR Wines.  The event takes place in Tuscany Kitchen, the property’s 1,170-square foot outlet which will host most of the events. It includes a state-of-the-art demo kitchen complete with cameras and 60-inch flat screens so attendees can catch ever slice and dice.

Wednesday, March 14
Art & Wine: A Perfect Pairing. This popular series kicks off on March 14 and then continues ever second Wednesday of the month. From 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., guests can enjoy an event that mixes wine and art from the Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art. The evenings feature works from the new exhibit, “Claude Monet: Impressions of Light,” along with pairings from Bellagio’s wine cellar. In addition, attendees can spend time with Tarissa Tiberti, gallery director, and Smith.

Saturday, March 24
Patz & Hall with Bellagio Executive Chef Edmund Wong. Spend time with the hotel’s executive chef and sip on single-vineyard Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from Patz & Hall. Vineyard owners James and Donald Patz will be on-hand, along with Smith. The event is held in Tuscany Kitchen.

Friday, April 27
Colgin Cellars with Chef Julian Serrano. Picasso’s acclaimed executive chef takes participants through a memorable culinary experience completed with hand-crafted Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah from Colgin Cellars. This food- and wine-lovers event is hosted by Smith and Colgin Cellars Owner and Vintner Ann Colgin and held inside Picasso.

Saturday, June 30
BBQ and Beers with Bellagio Executive Chef Edmund Wong. Celebrate July 4 early in Las Vegas. The popular BBQ and Beer event returns for its third year and includes a playful menu of BBQ delights paired with cold beers in Tuscany Kitchen.
