The famed Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam will be shutting its doors next year for six months as it undergoes heavy renovations.
The museum will close between October 2012 and March 2013, officials said late in the week.
However, visitors to Amsterdam will still be able to catch a glimpse of the artist’s finest impressionist works.
During the renovations, dozens of Van Gogh’s works will be on display at the nearby Hermitage Amsterdam museum.
