So you’re just about to spend a weekend in Las Vegas – the home of the eccentric, the over the top, the absolutely colorful and loud! You’ll find no shortage of great things to do, see, and experience when in town, so just follow this simple 2-day itinerary and you can make the most of this fabulous oasis in the desert.
Viva Las Vegas!
DAY 1 in Las Vegas
There’s only one way to start your breakfast in Vegas, and that’s BIG! Make your way to the 24-hour Hash House a Go Go at the Linq on the Strip. Made famous by the Travel Channel’s “Man v. Food” show, you’re guaranteed to get a happy mouthful. Afterward, feel free to stroll the Linq Promenade, which is full of shops and entertainment, or ride the High Roller, the world’s tallest observation wheel.
Amble along the bustling Strip – home to numerous casinos, alluring you with their offer of free refreshments and the chance to press your luck. Don’t miss out on the Fountains of Bellagio, which go off on a synchronized “dance” to music every half hour and are absolutely free to anyone passing by.
Not far from the Bellagio Fountains is Giada, an Italian restaurant with “Californian influences.” Giada offers a brunch menu perfect for the afternoon hunger pangs, and you’ll be able to dine with a great view of the Bellagio Fountains and Caesar’s Palace.
Once you’ve had a nibble, you can get ready for a shopping experience that’ll blow your mind! Vegas is home to all kinds of shopping, so whether you’re into high-end fashion or hipster thrift, you’ll find something to suit your style at the classy The Shops at Crystals or at the more practical day-to-day fashion of Fruition.

If your shopping leads you to the Caesars Palace Forum Shops at the intersection of the Strip and Flamingo Road, don’t forget to make time to fit in the free Fall of Atlantis show to your itinerary, a stunning spectacle featuring fire, water, and Greek gods.
Atomic Liquors is one of the oldest bars in Las Vegas, and it’s a great place for affordable drinks as well and acts as a time portal into what the drinking culture in Vegas would have been like back in the day.
Once you’ve built up a bit of an appetite, head to the Galleria Mall in Henderson and grab a table at Gen Korean BBQ House, where you can enjoy grilling and eating all the meat you want for two hours (for a flat rate!).
After you’ve eaten to your heart’s content, head to the Sam’s Town Casino where you can enjoy the Mystic Falls Laser Light Show (for free!). The Sam’s Town atrium alone is gorgeous with its waterfall, trees, and faux wildlife, and it becomes even more spectacular when the laser show comes to life.
Better get some rest because day 2 in Sin City is coming up!
DAY 2 in Las Vegas
After a good night’s rest, start the day off at Mon Ami Gabi at the Paris Las Vegas Hotel. It’s perfect for some French cuisine while enjoying the beautiful Vegas weather on an open-air patio.
Once you’ve fueled up for the day, walk on over to the Pinball Hall of Fame – the perfect destination for both enthusiastic children and the nostalgic adults. You can check out classic pinball machines, themed novelty games, and 80s video arcade games.

For a heavenly slice of Sin City, head to Picadilly Pizza, a cozy pizza joint located right on Fremont just a block away from Main Street.
Next on the itinerary, the Las Vegas Mob Museum boldly exhibits Vegas’s rich mob past with interactive exhibits and engaging narratives – a must-see when in town!
If you’ve worked up an appetite learning all about being a tough guy, The Heart Attack Grill can be found conveniently at the edge of the Fremont Street Experience, ready for you to accept the challenge of eating one of its Bypass burgers. Be warned—they make you wear hospital gowns at the table.
Don’t miss out on the Fremont Street Experience, where the covered ceiling of Fremont Street, which is fitted with approximately 2.1 million light bulbs, comes alive for coordinated nightly shows with musical accompaniments. After the show, check out the million-dollar display at Binion’s or ride the zip line above the crowd.
Before you close out the night, head to the very popular Davy’s Locker, a pirate-themed bar where the drinks flow at affordable prices. Once your senses have walked the plank, head to Dino’s Lounge, where you can sing/shout/screech to your favorite tunes in this bar and karaoke lounge.
There you have it – 48 hours in vibrant Vegas!
