The cool thing about biking is that riders get to challenge both their minds and bodies alike while checking out some of the world’s most beautiful places! You in? Then join us to take a ride through our six favorite biking destinations on the planet!
British Columbia
Time to book cheap flights to Canada, because your bike is taking to the skies! Thick with mountain rainforests and boasting a drop-dead gorgeous coastline, British Columbia is home to world-class biking hot spots such as Silver Star Mountain Resort, and Whistler, outdoorsy towns like Vancouver. You’ll also find plenty of trails for all levels of proficiency. You can rough it and get away from it all, or just take a quick ride without removing yourself too far from 21st-century creature comforts. Your choice!
Colorado
More than a few of America’s top-rated mountain biking trails can be found in the Rocky Mountain state of Colorado. From beginner to advanced, there’s a trail for everyone here, with almost all of them guaranteed to feature stunning scenery. Bike-friendly towns like Crested Butte offer plenty of trails, including loads of downhills, and a bike-centric calendar filled with popular annual events. Don’t miss fun-loving Durango — with quick loop trails connecting to town and the legendary 26-mile backcountry Hermosa Creek Trail.

For downhill exhilaration, head to Morzine. For a big mountain experience, there’s Chamonix, located not far from Geneva in neighboring Switzerland. Once ski season’s over, you’ll have the ski lifts all to yourself!
Idaho
Bike trails in Idaho are some of the best in the country. They just don’t receive as much press as some of the other states. So for more mountain to yourself and less riding in somebody else’s rut, pedal your way to places like Sun Valley and Boise to find miles and miles of amazing trails for all levels.
New Zealand
The North Island town of Rotorua is famed for its lake, its geothermal activity, and its networks of 100 thousand-plus trails in the Whakarewarewa Forest. Some even dare to say that Rotorua is home to the best trails on the planet! Much of New Zealand is mountainous, wild, and largely uninhabited. But destinations such as Queenstown, Lake Wanaka, and Hammer Springs are all dreams come true for outdoor lovers, offering miles of great trails and mind-blowing scenery.
Utah
Mountain biking enthusiasts should know already that Utah sets the standard for some awesome trails. For high altitude biking, Park City is at 2100 meter elevation and offers the chance to ride with commanding views and breathtaking vistas, as well as the chance to take your game to the next level with more trails more than 1000 meters higher up! Moab is another ideal Utah biking hub, with tons of trails for all skill levels, including the world-famous and super tough Slickrock Bike Trail. You’ll also find some of the most epic scenery imaginable for the backdrop to your bike ride.
