Aerospace goliath Boeing has announced plans to once again increase production of its popular 777 aircraft.
In a plan announced this week, the Chicago-based company said it will increase the production rate to 8.3 planes per month starting in 2013.
Boeing had previously announced an increase for 2011 that would up production from five to seven planes per month.
The company said these increases are necessary to keep up with customer demand.
The planned increase comes despite the news that an undisclosed airline cut orders of three 777s earlier this month.
