Korean Air will receive its first Airbus A380 in May and an inaugural flight has now been scheduled.
The airline announced that it will show off the double-decker jet on a flight from Seoul to Tokyo on June 1.
Upon returning to Seoul, the plane will depart for Hong Kong.
Korean Air will be the first airline to reserve the entire upper deck of the plane for business class travelers.
Jae Ho Kim, director and vice president of Korean Air Europe said business travelers will “feel exclusivity like they’re traveling in their own private jet.”
A second A380 is set to begin flying the Seoul-Bangkok route in July, while a third will fly between New York and Seoul beginning in August. The airline plans to have 10 A380s in the air by 2014.
