Set to open March 1, “Mob Experience” at the Tropicana, will immerse visitors in an interactive tour that traces the history of organized crime in Sin City.
The tour will use radio-frequency ID technology to insert the names, photos, and likenesses of visitors into a number of interactive displays.
Managing partner Jay Bloom said he wanted visitors to “become a part of the story instead of a passive observer like the traditional museum would offer.”
The display will highlight the lives of real-life mobsters as well as fictional mafia men made famous by Hollywood actors like James Caan, Mickey Rourke, and Frank Vincent.
Each visitor will be urged to make choices during the tour that will dictate the outcome, making each walk-through unique. "You can go through dozens of times and it'll be different each time," Bloom said.
