The British hotel group Yotel will open its first U.S. property in New York City on June 1.
The 669-room hotel is located just off Times Square. The hip Yotel brand offers tons of automated features including self-service check-in kiosks and automated luggage storage systems.
The New York Yotel experience has been tweaked slightly for American consumers; at 170 square feet, rooms are a little larger than Yotel’s European counterparts.
Each modern sleeping quarter is decked out with a “technowall,” which features a flat-screen television, music player, and adaptors for electronic devices.
In addition, visitors are invited to their state of the art work-out center where they can maintain their exercise program on top of the line fitness machines.
Room rates start at just $149 (plus taxes and fees) and include breakfast and complimentary Wi-Fi connections. Yotel currently operates three other properties: two in London’s Gatwick and Heathrow Airports and one in Amsterdam.
