Union leaders have called on British Airways (BA) cabin crew to cancel planned strike action over the Easter holidays.
The move gives renewed hope that a resolution to the long-running labor dispute may be imminent.
Members of the Unite union had voted last month to take strike action during one of England’s busies travel times of the year.
The strikes would have also wreaked havoc on travel plans leading up to the Royal Wedding on April 29.
However, a strike was averted when Unite Leader Len McCluskey and BA chief executive Keith Williams issued a joint statement announcing a 28-day extension to allow further talks.
