American Airlines and Samsung will team up later this year to offer the company’s new Galaxy Tab 10.1 on board select flights from New York City, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Boston, and Miami as well as some international flights from Europe and South America.
6,000 of the devices will debut in the carrier’s premium cabins on select flights from those cities, replacing the current in-flight entertainment devices.
Currently available only in the New York market, the Galaxy Tab 10.1 gets a nationwide release on June 17.
