The US Department of Homeland Security has reached a deal with Lodgenet, the hotel industry’s largest TV-content provider, to bring public service announcements to 1.2 million hotel TV sets throughout the country.
According to a report from USA Today, the PSAs will urge hotel guests to report any suspicious activities they may encounter during their travels to local authorities.
The move is just the latest by the DHS to make the public more aware of their surroundings. In the past, the department has worked with Amtrak, the U.S. Tennis Association, the National Football League, and the Mall of America to help spread its “see something, say something” campaign.
