Portland eats local. The “locavore” food movement is alive and well in Portland. From the plethora of outdoor markets, to the foodie-friendly restaurants that source local products, you’ll feel good about every bite you take. One restaurant that’s been making headlines is Castagna, whose dishes combine local products with molecular cooking techniques.
Portland is artsy. The impressive Portland Museum of Art is definitely worth a visit. Their collection is so diverse, there’s bound to be something to please any artistic aesthetic. Head to Portland’s Pearl District to check out the lively gallery scene featuring work by local and national artists.
Portland stays caffeinated. Portland is home to a variety of independent coffee shops where you can get your caffeine fix and listen to live music by local artists.
