42.5 million Americans will travel 50 miles or more during the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday, according to a report from AAA.
The figure marks a four percent increase over 2010. Thanksgiving will be the first major travel holiday to see a significant increase in 2011 traffic.
Memorial Day, Labor Day, and Independence Day all proved to be stagnant numbers-wise in 2011.
3.4 million leisure travelers are expected to hit the skies next week with an estimated 38.2 million making the drive to their Turkey Day destination.
